Nick and I had an awesome time in Victoria/Seattle. We were privy to a great tour of the HMCS Algonquin (sorry no pics are allow on a war ship), but I did capture this pic in the ward room of the Coors beer cans that change colour when it’s cold. I arrived in Victoria with a little chip on my shoulder after the news about the Coors billboards that claims their beer is “colder than the people in Toronto”.

I was already to wear my Maple Leafs jersey on board the airplane to show my pride, but I didn’t want to lug home a big hockey sweater. Besides, I was already over packed as it was… I just made the maximum allowed, 50lbs… right on the dot.

I tried to keep a journal of the trip, which turned out to short bullet form notes. Oh well, I tried right? Here’s how my trip went down:

CAUTION… mad pics after the jump… it’s true , I have no discretion…

Guess what! I finished my post on the trip to Victoria, but just realized I didn’t upload the pics to flickr. Will do so tonight, in the mean time, peep these pics from my iPhone.

That’s Victoria B.C. Been here since Friday and having a good time with my boo. Not sure of what to do today on account of my bum knee. Gotta rest it up for Wednesday when we head out to Seattle!

I’m at Stain Internet Cafe in Victoria with Nick. I brought my lap top with every intention of blogging daily, but there’s no wi-fi at the Ward Room (where we’re staying). But I can’t complain, you can’t go wrong with the amazing price and inexpensive, but amazing food!.

Sorry y’all, no pics yet, this computer doesn’t have a card reader!

It’s about 10:42 AM PDT and we’re gonna take a tour of Nick’s base where he successfully completed his training.

I’ll be home on Wednesday, so I’ll be sure to post pics then!

TTFN!

Early post today cuz, I’m a mad woman with her head cut off, up to my ears with work… and I only have a half day to do it in.

It will be nice to get away for a minute and just chill with Nick, can’t wait for tomorrow to arrive… only one more sleep.

When we get back, we have a whole leap of things to do in two days including:

  • finalize ish with our cake decorator
  • pay the 2nd installment to the hall
  • meet with our cinematographer StillMotion
  • meet with our DJ, give down payment
  • meet with out Wedding planner to discuss our BBQ* on August 30th

And that is just the things I can think of off the top of my head. I know things are going to be hectic for Nick when her gets back to the daily work grind, so I kind want to get all of this wedding stuff outta the way so he can concentrate on work.

That’s it for now… lata!

*We are having a little meet and greet during Labour Day Weekend, which will double as a Welcome Home BBQ for Nick.

My dress and veil are coming!!!! I can’t believe it! It’s been a long 7 months!!! The only thing that sucks is that I won’t be able to try it on cuz I will be in Victoria with my Boo!

This is not my dress, but it is lovely!

I still can’t believe it! I was so depressed because other Pronovias brides received their dresses, but now it’s my turn. I hope it fits LOL! I know I lost some weight since I first tried on the sample back in January… and it fit perfectly. The only adjustments needed are in the bust. The hips were perfect, but I can still stand to loose a couple inches. I sooo want to post some pics, but I can’t risk Nick taking a peek.

YEAH PRONOVIAS!
