Read: I’m overweight; according to Wii Fit. I’m 5’6” and weigh 167 pounds. My BMI is 27%. This of course is a far cry from how I looked when I met Nick back in 2005, I was a size 4 and a mere 142 pounds.

I ran into some health issues around 2006 and my weight increased to 155… and it didn’t stop there, by our wedding, I was hovering around the 162 pound range! That’s right; I gained 20 damn pounds in 4 years! Now I’m hovering around 167, and it was here when I said, enough is enough!
I’ve hit a brick wall, my knee hurts (still) my back aches and Nikko isn’t doing too well either. Still lots to do, mainly the itinerary & the pomanders for the flower girls. All in due time… right now I need to take care of Nick, and myself. In the mean time, here are those pics of FG #2 (Maddy):

Back to work today… only half days to get up to speed. And we got quite a bit of snow this morning which will turn into slush by the afternoon.

So ya, I’m recovering nicely from my surgery, and still hurts to laugh, but I can’t complain. Everything looks good health wise, and I can’t wait to completely heal so I can try on my dress! I’m going to make an event of it, I’ll call up my girls and we’ll have a fittin’ party! Their dresses are due to arrive in January… around the same time I should be fully healed. And check it, I’ve reached a milestone today… I can now operate a motorized vehicle! Yay me!
You’d think staying cooped up in the house for the last two weeks would have been easy, but it was hard! I had times when I couldn’t even get up by myself… but again, I shouldn’t complain. I’m just happy to be doing and feeling better! Thanks to everyone for their well wishes, cards and flowers! I have to send out thank-yous for those and for my bridal shower too (yet another thing on my to do list).
What I’m most excited about is finally getting back into the gym. I was amazed at how much weight I put on after the surgery… I gained a whopping 20 lbs due in part to the IV I was on 24/7 I was so bloated, I felt like play-doh. The weight melted away, and then some, now I don’t want to jinx myself but I have a feeling I will be a sexy lil’ bride after all! I can’t wait to try on Precious 2.0! Right now, she is just there hanging taunting me.
And since I could get out an go shopping, I did the next best thing… eBay! I bought this cute hoodie from Victoria’s Secret. It was a little concerned on the sizing but it fits perfectly!

I just need a pair of pants to match and I’m set for the morning! Just over 3 months to go y’all!
EDIT to add: I purchased the hoodie from Kristy’s Boutique. I too had to ask around to make sure on the sizing and was told it fits kinda small. I normally wear a small in tops/hoodies and ended picking up a medium, and it fits great. I mean it’s not as tight as the pic above (not that I wanted it to be) but there’s a bit a room left over, enough to wear a tank top.

I know it’s only been a minute, but I just got back in from the hospital. I was there for the last 4 days recovering from major surgery. I’m in pain y’all and can’t wait for Nikko to get home to give me some TLC. I’m gonna be slack with my posts so bear with me, but before I went into the hospital, I finalized our invites YAY! They are being printed. I also got my envelopes from The Papery in Vitoria BC…pure drama there y’all. But the good folks at, and Paper Source hooked a sista up
