Makeup: Michelle from M•A•C
Grade: A+
Loved, loved, LOVED the make-up. I ended buying all of the make-up used (in the weeks prior to the wedding) so I could master the look. So subtle, yet so chic! I’ll admit it though, I’ve strayed once in our 3 year relationship… I had to have my makeup done for an after work dinner party downtown late last year

Michelle is gonna do my makeup for my post wedding shots, which quickly turned into our anniversary photos (I gain a little extra weight while in Victoria). I’m thinking of going for a smokey eye… never done that before!
Thanks again Michelle!

One of the most important people of the day… you know what they say, how the invite sets the tone of the celebration yadda, yadda, yadda… My big sis from Winggleam Studios did just that. She’s a freelance photog/graphic artist based in the UK. Which worked perfectly for me, cuz any changes that needed to be done were ready for my approval the next morning.
I learned a lot about desk top publishing by working on these invites with my sis. I definitely had my “vision” on how I wanted them to look like, but she executed it with such professionalism! Everyone loved the way the invites turned out and all of the little details throughout the night… from the idea for the wish bowl note cards, to the photo seating chart. Can you believe she whipped that out in less than 10 minutes? She’s just that good!

Our note cards from the wish bowl
That’s right! Thank You Weddingbee for introducing me to Sara of Stinkerpants Designs! She is the mastermind behind our Thank You cards!

I know I haven’t officially begun doing my updates, but between spring cleaning and recovering from the wedding and honeymoon, there hasn’t been any time (read: I’m lazy). I still have to re-size most of the pics I want to use, but I have about 10 post raring to go, along with vendor reviews!
I will instead start off with some of the items I neglected to post about pre-wedding. Meet our programs!

I just ordered some more stationary and envelopes that were on sale for my guest/wish book last night. Yeah! Another thing crossed off my never ending to do list.
Then I come home today to see this:

Looks like I’m gonna have to make another order!
I had these complete weeks ago, but just managed to get them out to my guests just now:
Who am I kidding… I haven’t even mailed them out yet. Ha ha!
My gift to you are the invites! Introducing the N+N Wedding Suite!
I wanted to wait until our guests received their invites before I posted this… I think a week is sufficient. BUT, first things first. I needed to get a swank box to hold my invites in so I found this document box at Essence du Papier. It’s from Semikolin. I got the one in navy blue.

Invites went out on December 17th and I am sooo relieved! Just in time for the holidays! I can’t believe the wedding is just over two months away!
So what’s this about Paper-Source you may ask? Well, it all started back in August when I went to visit Nick in Victoria. I was sure to keep my eyes peeled for some wedding stuff, and my keen eyes paid off. I managed to find some fuchsia envelopes at a shop called The Papery. I had planned to use them for my Save the Date cards.
The problem was, they only had 45 envelopes and I needed 80. I pretty much cleaned out their stock and asked if they had any white… no chance. But I did manage to pick up a sample of the navy blue envelopes they had, good thing I did, because, they will come in handy later on. So I went off on my merry little way and was determined to find some fuchsia ones in Toronto.
