So ya, the bathroom has yet to be painted. It’ll get done… soon I hope but I have a really good excuse, I was watching Usain Bolt smashing the competition in 9.69 seconds.

he good news is that I finished my laundry, folded and tucked away, I stripped the bathroom clean so it’s now ready for it’s prime coat. I managed to work on a lot of wedding ish too! So the day was not lost.
I was speaking with my sister, who is designing our invites, and we had a very productive conversation, I can’t wait to get the final copy of the Save the Date cards. I go off the phone in just enough time to catch the womens 100m final on CBC and can you believe it… Jamaica swept the 100m medals at the Olympics on !!! well they went 1-2-2 cuz Shelly-Ann Fraser took the gold medal in a time of 10.78 seconds and Kerron Stewart and Sherone Simpson took home a silver medal each after tying at 10.98 seconds!

The first thing that came to my mind was that song from Red Rat… That girl, that girl Shelly-Ann… Oh no, oh nooo!
Oh Yeah Jamaica!
Canada also won gold today too, the Men’s Eight with Coxswain rowing team finished in a time of five minutes, 23.89 seconds raising our medal count to luck number 7! I don’t know what Roots shirt to wear today, my Canadian one or my Jamaican one. Decisions decisions

When did things get to hectic? I’m 6 days, count ‘em six days away till I see Nick and I got a whole leap of things to get done. I’ve been really lax for the last couple of weeks because no one is here to kick my but into gear but there’s a lot of stuff happening y’all… so let’s get to it!
I tried to sleep in today and the best I could do was 6 am! I got home kinda late last night, (10 o’clock is late for me) was hanging out with Mervin and Danny (old friend from Malvern) and we had a great time, the weather didn’t really hold up but that’s alright, we had a chill time non the less. Did the internet thang, checked my e-mails, checked my blogs… all’s good in the neighborhood.
Then I was off to do the laundry, I’ve been putting this off for the last week, folding and washing. I have this big pile of clothes just sitting there. After that, I had to clear out the bathroom and prep it for a new paint job. I still need a couple of things, namely the floor mats, hardware and paint brushes. Can you say lazy? Wal-Mart is open late, so I’ll take a trip later. That means I get to look at the new crafts available exclusively at Wal-Mart. I was in the store last week, and was looking for ribbon and ish, and nearly walked by the Martha aisle… I was in heaven! My heart stopped! I probably spent 30 minutes going through each and every item. The prices are so reasonable!

So now I’m taking a break and blogging… what else is new? I think I have 3 blogs going and 2 websites. We have a website set up with mywedding.com, but I wasn’t feeling the layout. So I created my own! I purchased a domain name from godaddy.com for only $10 and linked it to one of my blogger sites and formatted the HTML so it looks like a website, and less like a blog. There was a lot of trial and error, but the folks at godaddy were so helpful. They even called me up the next day to make sure everything went smoothly. I’m going to put the website on the STD’s when I send them out in September. I still have to iron out a few things so for now, I’m keeping the URL secret secret!
OH SNAP! still have to work on the second edition of the Bridesmaid Quarterly. I forgot to write a post on that, more on that later. It’s just been soo busy at work, and home, I haven’t gotten a chance to put anything together. SIGH!
I still have to wash my hair, do my nails (mani & pedi) and PAINT THE BATHROOM! I’m trying to put that off as long as I can. I hate painting!
