So coming up with a theme for our favours was a group effort. Why a group effort you may ask? Well I wanted to please everybody… and you can’t go wrong when it comes to your belly, so of course we decided to go with candy.

Our favours!
Well, I’ve decided to go with the silver wax instead. We were going to have labels made with my mini Xyron sticker maker, but I had a hard time finding a 1.5 punch. So I nixed that idea… instead I’m going to run the faux wax labels through the Xyron.
These cookies are from Cheryl&Co, who in my opinion makes the best cookies evar!
Cheryl&Co. Cookies for a Cure Bow Box
A while back, earlier on in my nuptial planning, I was considering using boxed heart cookies (similar to the one below). Unfortunately, Cheryl&Co no longer supplies the boxed creamed cookies, which were ideal for favours. So I kinda nixed that idea.
I did see that they did have these pink frosted “cookies for a Cure” boxed sets available for breast cancer awareness month and the good thing is it looks like they are available all year round!
Me thinks I’ll have to reconsider these. I mean, I’m still going to use the pink m&m’s, but I could buy like 50 of these hand put them onthe sweet table… just a thought.
I purchased these frosted 2×2x2 plastic tuck top favor boxes from eBay seller dobson831 for only $1.99 for 20! Yes you read right! I got 200 for just under $20! The regular price was $9.99 for 20… the seller owns a bakery that’s being renovated and needed to clear our her stock. SCORE!

We picked these up for the nuptials this past week and Nick has come up with some ideas for them. Stay tuned…more info to come.

And remember… October is Breast Cancer Month and that means, for all of you pink brides, this is a great time to stock up on pink M&M’s! By purchasing these candies, 50 cents will be contributed to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and in the States, a portion goes to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.

Borrow, steal, swipe, stalk… call it what you want, I’ve done it… to BLOGS that is! Tee hee.

I’ve followed quite a few wedding blogs (check out, they’re listed on the left) and there are some imaginative and creative brides out there. It is here where I’ve gotten a lot of inspiration from… from fellow brides who are in the same predicament as myself who ask themselves “how can I do this on the cheap?” Well the answer my friends is to do it your damn self… or enlist talented friends and family members who can do your bidding
Here is a quick peak at some of the the ideas I stole err borrowed from fellow brides:
