You can’t have a wedding with West Indians in attendance without traditional black cake… or rum cake. My sister’s Godmother is a caterer and offered up here services a s a gift to Nick and I. We graciously said yes!

Hey all… I didn’t get a chance to blog about this before the wedding, so here’s a quick post on the DIY project I was dreading for a while… the silk flower pomanders for my flower girls.
I’ve seen a lot of pics from other brides and it looked easy enough.

So coming up with a theme for our favours was a group effort. Why a group effort you may ask? Well I wanted to please everybody… and you can’t go wrong when it comes to your belly, so of course we decided to go with candy.

… I’ll actually get things done.
Still to do:
- pack for day of wedding
- Pack Nicks Navy Formals, jacket
- Pack my faux fux capelet, accessories for photos
- pack for honeymoon
- complete 1-inch seals for cake boxes
- complete pomanders for FG’s
- develop photos for photo money box
- get stockings (just in case)
- make up “tears of joy” envelopes
- complete listing for wedding party on things to do
- create a listing of all extras for the reception for the planner…
I just ordered some more stationary and envelopes that were on sale for my guest/wish book last night. Yeah! Another thing crossed off my never ending to do list.
Then I come home today to see this:

Looks like I’m gonna have to make another order!

Our favours!
Well, I’ve decided to go with the silver wax instead. We were going to have labels made with my mini Xyron sticker maker, but I had a hard time finding a 1.5 punch. So I nixed that idea… instead I’m going to run the faux wax labels through the Xyron.
My gift to you are the invites! Introducing the N+N Wedding Suite!
I wanted to wait until our guests received their invites before I posted this… I think a week is sufficient. BUT, first things first. I needed to get a swank box to hold my invites in so I found this document box at Essence du Papier. It’s from Semikolin. I got the one in navy blue.
