So by now, you know that I picked my wedding gown, but silly me didn’t give you further details, well it’s not going to happen here… seeing how Nick is a regular contributor to this blog.  But the good news is that my decision to purchase this particular gown came swift and easy.  What I can tell you is that the designer is Pronovias of Spain.

After after not being able to try on the Disney Bridal Jasmine gown from Sposa Italia, I decided to see what else the had, and was talked into trying some other princess style dresses… biggest mistake ever, I looked huge in them!  So we left and went next door to Chez Jordan to look at other gowns.  Would you believe my mom knew the owner of the shop?  They both reminisced about the old days and made a cute comment about how long he’s known her for, which prompted my MOH to ask for a discount for calling her out on her age! LOL.

I knew exactly what I wanted in a dress, and as soon as I stepped into the shop I saw the dress, it was on a mannequin and I asked immediately if the sales associate could take it down.  She seemed kind of reluctant, and suggested that I looked at other styles.  So I obliged but not of the other styles cut it, so I  again asked the SA for my dress…ya I said it, my dress!  The sample size fit perfectly and my shoes looked amazing with it.  The heel size was perfect, the bolero was perfect, everything was perfect!  I just wished I tried the veil on with it.

I didn’t end up purchasing the dress that day, even with the friends and family discount.  My mom was determined to find a better deal, and she did.  We decided to go to another boutique and ordered the dress and matching veil for an even better friends and family price ;)

So since I can’t show y’all a picture of my dress, I present to you a couple of pics of dresses that made the very short list:

Disney Bridal Jasmine J2727

I just love empire waist dresses, and this once I tried this one on, it just felt right.  The price was bearable, but it was just too girly for me.  The material, chiffon, is really delicate and more suited for a spring of summer wedding.

Manuel Mota for Pronovias: Calais

This was my favorite by far, but a little bit out of my price range.  Again with the empire waist, and cutesy bolero.  Girly yes, but soooo Natalie!

I should be going in for my first fitting soon, and can’t wait, my sales associate said it will arrive in 6 to 8 months, so that equals July or September!  WOOT!
